The Lady Lancers won the 6A regional championship defeating L.C. Bird 45-35. The Lancers will host Gainesville this Tuesday for the quarter finals for state playoffs. “ We are now 0-0. Winning the regional championship was great, but it means nothing now. The job isn’t done,” said Coach Rasheed. The Lancers are going into state playoffs with the mindset that they’re 0-0, and they haven’t accomplished anything.
“I think the whole team believes in us so we go into every game thinking we’re the better team and we are going to win,” said Madison Smith, starting small forward. The Lancers fell short last year in the state championship and are looking to come back with revenge and take it all home this year. The Lancers quarter final game will start Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:30 P.M. at Manchester High School.
