Sophomore midfielder Shayne Miller is quickly becoming the “glue player” that this championship level lacrosse team needs. While the box score might question his ability to find the back of the net, Miller’s true impact on the game goes past his scoring column. He remains a relentless force between the lines, consistently winning 50-50 ground balls and executing transitions that kept the offense in rhythm.
His high lacrosse IQ was on full display during the closing minutes last game against Dale. Rather than hunting for personal highlights, he prioritizes selfless ball movement and disciplined defensive rotations. For a sophomore to demonstrate such poise and a “team-first” mentality under pressure suggests that while his scoring isn’t a weapon, his overall presence on the field is what makes him indispensable to the lineup.
