The Lancers have started their playoffs off hot making it all the way into the state semi-final game. The team is making the trip up to Westfield High School to compete for a chance at the state championship. Manchester has moved up to the 27th ranked team in the state after beating Landstown High School last week. “We are ready for the environment although people have been doubting that aspect of our game,” said Desmond Clark.
They have practiced playing under the element of an away atmosphere in preparation for this intense match up. “We have to play our game and come together as a unit; we can’t have anyone playing selfish basketball if we want to come out of this game on top,” said Desmond Bolton.
The Lancers know what comes with this game and know that they can’t play for themselves in a game of this atmosphere. They are dedicated and focused on the task at hand and nothing else. Manchester High School wishes the best of luck to the Lancers as they take their business trip up north.
