The Manchester Lancer basketball team suffered throughout the ice storm that came through. This storm cancelled a week and a half of their schedule which would be equivalent to 4 games and 8 practices. “This setback has slowed us down mentally and physically,” said Desmond Clark, starting point guard. The team believes that they are one step ahead of others because they were in the gym during these days off. “We got the team out to the gym multiple times throughout the break,” said Tyler Gibson, starting shooting guard.
They have been very dedicated through this storm and plan on keeping this dedication going the whole season. The standard this Lancer basketball team has set for themselves is States and nothing less. “We are hard set on the fact that if we don’t win states, then it is a failure of a season,” said Devin Butler, starting power forward. We expect to see the Lancers cruise through the rest of their regular season with a mindset like this.
