Are you an artistic person looking for clubs to participate in at Manchester High School? Art Club, sponsored by Mrs. States in G210, is a fun extracurricular that explores different kinds of arts and crafts, typically after school on Monday.
Art is a broad spectrum of diverse activities and products involving creative imagination expressing technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas. No matter what your favorite kind of art is, Art Club explores various different kinds of art and grows your skills.
“ Art, also called (to distinguish it from other art forms) visual art, a visual object or experience consciously created through an expression of skill or imagination,” Britannica explains.
Art Club offers an accepting environment that allows you to explore many different kinds of expression and art forms. In the club, you can grow many skills.
“ Students get to try working with different mediums, find something you enjoy, and new projects each week,” States explained.
What else can an art club offer a student? It lets students socialize, and make friends.
“ Offers opportunities to socialize, express yourself creatively, make friends, don’t have to be skilled, leisurely activities, and lets you get involved,” States described.
One of the best parts of Art Club is that it requires little to no experience. It doesn’t consume a lot of your time, and provides a fun environment weekly.
“ It’s good to be involved, fun and lowkey, doesn’t take up much of your time, and it isn’t intense, just allows you to make connections and meet new people,” States said.
Overall, Art Club is for students looking to meet new people and want a fun, non stressful club that they can join to try new things and get involved in the Manchester community.
“ Talent is a pursued interest. Anything you’re willing to practice, you can do,” Bob Ross.
