The Grammys has always been an entertaining and exciting event for viewers. This year’s Grammys was especially fun to watch because of all the new artists’ performances including, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, and Leon Thomas etc.

Each nominee had a short but entertaining performance before the award for “Best New Artist” was announced, which Olivia Dean deservingly won. Watching the Grammys is always funny because of the host, Trevor Noah. His jokes are always unfiltered and hilarious.

Another part that viewers love about the Grammys are the tributes they do to artists that unfortunately passed away. This year’s tribute was especially emotional because of the beautiful performance of Lauryn Hill to honor Grammy-winning R&B singer, a good friend of hers, from Richmond Virginia ,D’Angelo, who passed away October of 2025. Her performance brought out other unexpected artists like, Chaka Khan, Leon Bridges, and more.

Overall the Grammys isn’t just about handing out awards, but it’s appreciating wonderful late artists as well.

Camora Bowman is a freshman at Manchester High School. Camora is an Entertainment Writer for MHS Scroll. It is her first year as a writer. Her middle school was Falling Creek Middle, and she applied to Manchester for the Mass Communications Specialty Center. She takes a mass communication class as well as a journalism class, and she is enjoying being a part of the specialty center. Aside from being a Mass Comm student, Camora loves sports such as track and field, cheerleading, and volleyball. She was born and raised in Virginia and lives with her mom, dad, older brother, and younger sister. During her free time, she enjoys watching horror movies and spending time with her family. Camora hopes to be a cosmetologist when she grows up and wants to specialize in nails and lashes. Overall, Camora is a hardworking student who loves being around family and having fun.
