The next Toy Story movie is officially coming out on June 19, 2026. This time, the story is all about how kids today are obsessed with technology. Bonnie is older now, and instead of playing with her old toys, she spends all her time on a tablet. This creates a big “Toys vs. Tech” battle because Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toys have to figure out how to compete with a screen for her attention. 

One of the big rumors is that the toys might go on a huge mission to try and break Bonnie’s habit of doom scrolling on her tablet. Since the tablet is basically her favorite thing now, the toys feel like they are becoming invisible. The movie will show how hard it is for classic toys like Slinky Dog and Rex to stay relevant when there are new games and videos right at a kid’s fingertips.

Even though the last movie, Toy Story 4, seemed like the end for Woody, he is definitely coming back to join the group. They will be facing a new problem, an army of 50 Buzz Lightyear toys that are stuck in “demo mode” because of a computer glitch. There are also some new characters, like a toy named Smarty Pants voiced by Conan O’Brien. The movie is being directed by Andrew Stanton, who made Finding Nemo, so it should have a good mix of funny moments and emotional scenes. It really looks like a story about what it’s like to grow up in a world full of iPads and electronics.
