Beta Club Provides Manchester Students with Leadership Opportunities

Samuel Sears, Staff Writer

Manchester offers many clubs and activities for their students, but not many help the community and school in the way that Beta Club does.

Beta Club, which meets monthly, requires members and inductees to maintain 3.0 grade point average, receive teacher recommendations, uphold Beta values, and complete semester-ly required service projects and hours for the community.

Beta values include achievement, character, and service. According to Beta Secretary Dakota Perreault, Beta Club demonstrates these values by encouraging students to go out and help where it’s needed. Whether it be food drives, a trash clean up, etc.

Perreault was recently chosen

as club secretary in the fall. The job of secretary entails record keeping and organization. It also includes being ready to help all members of Beta with various questions they might have about service projects, club meetings, or anything other Beta Club activities, as well as making sure Beta members keep learning leadership skills, service, and academic achievements.
