Isabella Derry is an incoming freshman of this year as a Lancer Dancer. Bella is a very smart and independent student. While talking to Bella, I got the impression of professionalism as well with a bubbly personality. I asked her some questions about herself and her academics.
“I was President of NJHS. It was a really great opportunity to help my school and be a role model for my peers and learn new things. It was eye opening to hear other kids’ needs and other things of that sort.”
Ever since middle school, Bella has been involved in her school. She was President of the National Junior Honor Society throughout middle school. A program where she would be looked up to by her fellow peers. As she was president, she was running mostly all of it. She got to hear about what the other students need and what improvements need to be done. Continuing her legacy, as of this year, Bella is the vice president of her freshman class.
“I like being involved and being a part of these programs because it interests me. Leading and helping something I want to do when I’m older and graduated out of school.”
Bella has expressed in many ways that she enjoys being a leader and helping others in her school. She is very passionate and successful in this department and plans on continuing this throughout high school and after.
