This week, I thought it would be fun to switch things up and gather advice from students around the school.
For athletes balancing sports, school, and possibly a job, time management makes a big difference. Staying organized and doing what you can ahead of time helps prevent last-minute stress after long practices or work shifts. It’s also important to give yourself rest because taking care of your body and mind helps you show up stronger in everything you do.
Theater students often say confidence is key. Being able to step in front of an audience teaches you how to carry that same confidence into everyday life. Even small moments of courage, like speaking up or trying something new, can help you grow in ways people notice and appreciate.
For those with a unique sense of style, wearing what makes you feel comfortable and confident is what matters most. Everyone sees fashion differently, so expressing yourself in a way that feels true to you can be one of the best parts of it.
And for those who enjoy spending time alone, that is completely okay. Not everyone finds comfort in large groups, and being on your own can be peaceful and meaningful in its own way. It can also be a time to learn more about yourself and what makes you happy.
At the end of the day, every student experiences high school differently, yet we often go through similar feelings and challenges, which is what makes hearing each other’s advice so valuable.
